I decided to make my story about the two lovely people in the photo from the daily create Thursday. George is comforting Martha after they’ve had a fight about where to go on vacation. George wants to do a stay-cation, but Martha would rather go somewhere new and exciting. George brings Martha flowers to make her feel better and tell her they can go anywhere she wants.
Martha thinks about it for awhile and decides that she wants to go to Italy and visit her distant cousins. They book their tickets and head to Italy two weeks later. While there they visit multiple sights including the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome. They also decide to be a little adventurous and take an art class one night at the gallery.
For the art class, Martha and George were taught how to paint a tree blossoming over the water. Martha loved the class and wants to continue painting once they return home. You can see her finished picture below. After a week and a half with her cousins, Martha and George return home.
This week, we were tasked with doing 2 daily creates. I chose to do a negative space drawing and to show the power of 4 with art.
My negative space drawing was done using some leaves I found outside of my boyfriend’s house. I placed them on a paper and sketched a picture of them on another sheet and colored in everything around it black. Even though I’m not super artistic, I think they turned out pretty good!
For the power of 4 daily create, I used a picture of my siblings and I and added a little frame and a little caption to the picture. While this wasn’t my most creative thing ever, I thought it was an original type idea cause 4 children have a decent amount of power!
So this week we had to do 3 daily creates from twitter.
I really enjoyed the ones for this week, I thought they were pretty great! For the first one, we had to create an invention of some sort, so I decided on a breakfast buddy! Essentially, it’s a spin off of the machine in Flubber, but it would make you breakfast and you can program it so it’s done at a certain time and you don’t have to worry about making it yourself!
For the second, we had to create a stamp for the pony express. I used paint and my surface to do this and drew the stamp by hand (using the shape maker for the oval). I added a little clip art pony to the stamp as well and finished it off with a place and the name.
The final create I did this week was drawing a treasure map. I actually had a little trouble with this one, I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. My map turned out pretty crazy looking – mostly due to my terrible artistic ability. Here it is!
